Search and Seizure Mastermind Course
The Search and Seizure Mastermind course is an 8-hour NMDPS approved course that breaks down New Mexico's version of the 4th Amendment (Article II, Section 10) and teaches officers the key differences between federal and state law. Do you want to learn how New Mexico search and seizure law works? This course covers the warrant requirement under New Mexico law and uses New Mexico specific case law to explain common exceptions to the warrant requirement. Some of the topics covered in this course are consensual encounters, reasonable suspicion, probable cause, vehicle searches and warrantless home entry just to name a few.
